Aqara Home, a key member of Xiaomi’s IoT ecosystem and a Shenzhen-based smart home solution provider, launched its G4 PIR Motion Sensor & Camera Combo on November 4, with simultaneous availability on Amazon.com, Amazon.de, and Amazon.co.jp. The product, priced at $49.99, combines high-precision PIR sensing with 1080P video capture, targeting the North American and European smart home security markets.
The core PIR component of the G4 combo adopts a dual-element pyroelectric detector independently developed by Aqara, achieving a detection accuracy of 99.2% for human movement within 10 meters. It supports adaptive sensitivity adjustment based on ambient light—switching to high-sensitivity mode at night and energy-saving mode during the day. The integrated camera activates recording only when PIR motion is detected, extending battery life to 12 months. “We’ve passed FCC, CE, and UKCA certifications in advance to accelerate market entry,” said Chen Hao, Aqara’s Overseas Sales Director. “Pre-orders on Amazon exceeded 30,000 units within 24 hours, with major demand coming from the U.S. and Germany. We plan to ship 500,000 units globally in Q4 2025, accounting for 8% of our overseas revenue.”
