A crawling insect near the lens can look like a warm moving object to the sensor.<\/p>\n<h2>How Insects Cause False Triggers<\/h2>\n<h3>Direct Contact<\/h3>\n<p>An insect crawling on the lens is very close to the sensor. Even though it&#8217;s small and cold, its proximity can create a signal.<\/p>\n<h3>Spider Webs<\/h3>\n<p>A spider web in front of the sensor can move in the wind, creating moving IR shadows.<\/p>\n<h3>Warm Insects<\/h3>\n<p>Some insects (like moths) may be warm enough to be detected, especially when they fly close to the sensor.<\/p>\n<h2>Symptoms<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Random false triggers, especially at night.<\/li>\n<li>Triggers often occur in bursts (insect moving around).<\/li>\n<li>Visual inspection reveals insects or webs near sensor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Solutions<\/h2>\n<h3>1.
